Let’s be honest…we all like clothes. Got to get that out there. From basic to statement pieces, clothing helps us feel comfortable and confident, and express ourselves. The problem is that clothing production can be incredibly harmful to our planet. From carbon emissions in factories to exploitative labor, to micro-plastic-filled fabrics, fast fashion and environmentally inconsiderate brands can have a major negative impact. But there are a plethora of ways to keep stylish and eco-conscious through either sustainable firsthand consumption or secondhand shopping.
