Personal

conserve water
***wash clothes less frequently, take shorter showers, water gardens and lawns less
eat less meat
***you don’t have to commit to vegetarianism, but cutting out meat a couple days a week makes a difference
consume consciously
***cut down on purchasing unnecessary items and critically think about what you’re buying
In the Home

reduce, reuse, recycle
***reduce waste, sort your trash/recyclables, & reuse containers
invest in energy-efficient devices
***look for renewable energy sources to power your home and its functions
buy biodegradable
***it’s not realistic to completely cut out single-use products, however, buying biodegradable will help protect the planet
On the Go

Use more public transportation
***help limit carbon emissions by using public transit or carpooling
use reusable containers
***rather than purchasing single-use containers each time you go out, use a reusable water bottle or lunchbox
invest in an electric vehicle
***this isn’t the most accessible option, but switching to electric makes a big difference
